Good book it is definately ideal for the history buff and anyone who appreciates how things became what they are now from where they were at the end of the 2nd World War.

Officially named "Europe Recovery Program" (ERP), the Marshall Plan set aside 17 billion dollars over a period of 4 years for Europe. But so as not to turn into a straight out dole package and possibly cause rift and unfair appropriations among European nations, the Marshall Plan came up with an ingenious scheme.
